Profhilo® is a unique skin remodelling treatment that works by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin in the skin through the slow release of Hyaluronic Acid (HA).
Profhilo is not a dermal filler or biorevitaliser – Profhilo has opened up a new injectable category – bioremodeling.
Unlike other anti-ageing injectables that use fillers to add volume and stretch out the skin, Profhilo uses Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body to hydrate, firm and actually rebuild new, younger-looking skin cells.
This works on reversing the signs of ageing at a cellular level, stimulating new collagen and elastin cells, significantly improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and giving you firmer, more youthful skin on your face.
With dermal fillers, the results tend to be very localised because the gel only stays in the area in which it has been injected. However Hyaluronic Acid is different. Once injected it disperses evenly throughout the skin, so the effects are visible throughout your whole face, giving a much more even anti-ageing result.
Treatment with Profhilo improves skin tone, texture, hydration and overall radiance. It can help to increase firmness and elasticity and promote healthier and softer-looking skin. Profhilo is most commonly used for facial areas, but can also be used to rejuvenating the neck, decollate, arms, knees and hands.

Profhilo is an excellent anti-ageing treatment, clinically proven to help with a wide range of ageing symptoms. It acts as a hydrator rather than a traditional dermal filler, and is therefore fantastic for those with tired, dull and ageing skin, as it provides overall more plump and luminous skin.
Examples of some of the signs of ageing that Profhilo can be used for include:
• Wrinkles such as crows feet, smoker’s lines, smile lines and frown lines.
• Saggy, loose skin – on your face, decolletage, neck, arms or hands.
• Dull, dehydrated looking skin.
• Sunken skin that needs more volume.
Anyone who presents with signs of skin ageing and is suitable for dermal filler treatment is also usually suitable for treatment with Profhilo.
Following on from Profhilo there is the chance that localised lumps can form where each of the injection sites have been. These lumps will subside usually within 4-6 hours after the treatment but they can last up to 24 hours. Not every client gets these swellings and if you have had treatment and are concerned please do give us a call.
The results can be seen in improved skin quality and skin hydration both in the dermis and epidermis. There is also increased production of endogenous HA and elastin giving the skin a more youthful look.
Two to three treatments are recommended initially with a 4-6 week interval in between.
